Description
We are looking for a Teacher Assistant to join our Jardine Academy to assist the classroom teacher and other certified school staff in developing and implementing individualized plans for each assigned student to meet their needs and goals.

The organization is committed to the philosophy of helping people with developmental disabilities to obtain their optimal level of functional independence, while maintaining their highest possible quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous supervision to all assigned students at all times.
- Be a participating member of the Direct Service Team.
- Assist Classroom Teacher as directed with the evaluation, development and implementation of individualized plan for each student.
- Assist Classroom Teacher as directed in maintaining accurate class records.
- Assist students in performing self-care activities.
- Attend and participate in appropriate conferences and workshops as approved.
- Perform additional related duties as requested by the Classroom Teacher, and/or Principal, Handicapped School.
- High School Diploma; Degree in specialty area as preferred
- Experience with students with disabilities and/or medical challenges
